What is ColonialLUG?

ColonialLUG, short for Colonial LEGO User Group, is a vibrant community of LEGO enthusiasts based in southeastern Pennsylvania. Founded in 2014, we are a Recognized LEGO User Group (RLUG) that brings together teenage and adult fans of LEGO to share their passion for building and collecting. Our members range from experienced builders to newcomers, all united by their love for the iconic bricks. At ColonialLUG, we believe in fostering a fun and inclusive environment where members can collaborate, learn, and showcase their creativity. We hold monthly club meetings, participate in regional conventions, and partner with local events to spread the joy of LEGO. Whether you're interested in creating intricate models, exhibiting your creations, or simply connecting with other LEGO fans, ColonialLUG offers something for everyone. We invite you to explore our community, participate in our activities, and join us in celebrating the endless possibilities of LEGO. Northlandz Lego Miniature Model

ColonialLUG at Northlandz:

ColonialLUG is excited to showcase our LEGO sets creations at Northlandz, the home of the world’s largest model railroad in Flemington, New Jersey. Our exhibitions at Northlandz include:

⦿ Modular Train Display with Buildings: Featuring a detailed display of townhouses, a train shed, and over 140 pieces of rolling stock. We can assemble a loop track to run some of the stock throughout the day, depending on available space. This exhibit is popular with all ages.

⦿ Winter Village: A European-style village with a snow-covered train track. This display includes a scavenger hunt for kids and takes up 6 feet x 30 inches of table space. It’s a hit with children due to the running train.

⦿ Microscale Main Line: Showcasing 25 microscale models of stations and trains along the Philadelphia Main Line from Overbrook Station to Exton Station. This exhibit features history and fun fact signage and takes up 6 feet x 20 inches of table space. Although there are no running trains, it attracts train history enthusiasts.

⦿ Como Roundhouse: A large model of a roundhouse, turntable, and depot in Colorado. This model can connect with other tracks to allow for running trains and occupies 7 feet x 4.5 feet of space without additional tracks.
