Amazing details & scale!

My wife and I recently visited Northlandz. While I rarely drive 5-1/2 hours to visit a single attraction I must say that I felt our trip was more than worthwhile. The model train world created at Northlandz would have been inspiring if it had been a Disney attraction; it was doubly inspirational for me because one individual (and not a corporation) created Northlandz. Not only was the scenery realistic, it had an element of whimsy and humor that will tickle the fancy of adults while bringing pleasure to your inner child. Building just one of the exquisitely constructed trestle bridges would have challenged most people. Northlandz has 400 of them. The center of the massive 52,000 square foot building is essentially a concert hall with tiered seating. In addition to being impressed with the amount of time, dedication, and passion invested in constructing Northlandz, we discovered that this “master builder” is also an accomplished musician. He treated us to aint, but very impressive theater organ performance. If you have ever wondered if the American spirit might be waning, a visit to Northlandz will convince you that it remains alive and well. We can’t wait until our grandchildren are old enough to take them for a visit.
