I've been to a lot of train museums, but this is by far the most incredible model train museum I've seen. It amazes me that basically one person could develop all these displays. Although I don't have model trains, I can certainly appreciate all the life long devotion and hard work that went into creating this spectacular display. I will definitely stop again when traveling in the area. It's really too immense to absorb in one visit.
"Yes, the place is immense, bring your hiking shoes, really."
we were at Northlandz today we really loved it we had a great time brought my son for first time was a great surprise for him thank you we really enjoyed it
Had a great time with my kids today! This was the second time for my son but this time he was big enough to see on his own and loved every minute of it, the train ride outside capped off a great day. I can't even keep up with my 4x8 layout, I don't know how they do what they do there!
I don't do a lot of review but here goes: It's an old school place...not sure of any recent updates, but I remember going when I was a kid! I took my older 2 kids a few years ago and they loved it. Now it's time to go back again with my youngest (she's 4). It's just an amazing site to see. You won't be able to count the amount of times you will hear "look dad (or mom)" and the smiles on their face will be worth it. I will do an update after this next visit.
All things are pretty maintained this time, i am in love with the beautiful art gallery and doll museum. Enjoyed the organ and train ride this weekend.
It is really amazing place but you need two hours if you want to enjoy it completely.
My husband and I visited Northlandz for the first time yesterday. It is amazing to think of all the work that went into planning and then building the layout. And it was huge. We especially loved all the bridges. The workers there were great and were friendly and we even rode the little outside train. I cannot give it the highest rating though because it is obvious that the place needs some TLC - inside and out - and because there were so few trains running. I stood in one room for several minutes and never saw even 1 moving. I would go back again, however, just because it is still a marvel.
Absolutely love the displays! This place is definitely something for people to see!
So incredible. Our whole family had a great time (again).
