Spent about 2.5 hours there today with my wife and three kids. It was an unusual experience, to say the least. There's so much more to it than one would imagine and it's impossible not to be amazed by the creativity, art, sophistication, and passion. There are more than 70 trains running on more than 8 miles of track! Many of the exhibits stretch for 2-4 rooms worth of space and span multiple stories. The complexity grows as you ascend and the bridges become more and more sophisticated. Truly an interesting experience. The staff is lovely to speak with and interact with. The bottom line - it's an experience unlike any other.

It's HUGE!

Amazingly huge place! The exhibits seemed endless, expect to spend many hours seeing the sights. A-lot more than just trains to see. Highly recommended for adults as well as kids. Only wish I knew of this place when my son was a kid.

One of the best train places!

This is one of the best train places I ever took my son to. When someone said to give yourself 1.5 hours I didn’t really see why and now I do. This place is endless! So happy we came and will def come back again!

It's awesome!

Don't ride by this place for 20 years before stopping in! I wish we would have come in sooner. Very cool place. And super friendly staff. Come soon and come often.

Unbelievably massive!!

My children (ages 3-16) got bored after the first hour, but I could’ve stayed for days. There are quite literally millions of details, and I tried my best to take it all in but it’s impossible in one day. I met the owner, a very humbling and unassuming man, who has dedicated his life to this project. He says he spends the vast majority of the hours that the place is closed to the public on building/improving the models. It’s worth going just to meet the guy. He actually keeps track (no pun intended) of how many hours he spends on each exhibit. 200 on this one, 300 on that one etc. Although technically this place seems to appeal to children, there is no way in the world they will appreciate the details the way adults would. And don’t forget about the humor. Bruce’s favorite character, Grandma, is very well represented. And I don’t know if I should tell you about Grandma‘s favorite possession, or if I should let you come and see for you yourself. No, I can’t control myself. It’s her outhouse. I’ve read in some of the other reviews that it is dim, the carpet is worn out, and the bathrooms should be updated and cleaner. These are all accurate constructive criticisms and I hope the management will work on it. (last time I was there was over two years ago, this issue may have been resolved by now. I don’t know.) But this review is not about all of that. It’s about one man’s passion and dedication and how he has created something with his two hands that is literally beyond belief. PS Don’t tell my children but I plan on secretly taking a day off sometime and visiting this place myself. That is the only way to do it justice, without the children dragging me along because they’re bored. PPS Here’s a tip if you go with children. Try to ride the beautiful outdoor train before you go inside, because your children will pester you the entire time you’re inside that they want to go on the real train.

Nice place for the kids.

This really is a nice place for the kids to visit. Takes a couple of hours and is very family-friendly. Very intricate artwork that is fascinating for adults too.

Worth the visit!

Been a longtime fan of model trains since very young. This was a great experience that was totally worth the visit!

Tour was amazing!

We had an amazing experience at Northlandz! The train models were so cool and I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family! The tour was amazing and the staff was very friendly!!! This place was unique and we never imagined it to be this special.
